SUMMARY A simple and easy way to
insure groups of international employees for
Whether you are a U.S. based organization with employees overseas, or a non-US organization employing expatriates, third country nationals or key local nationals, a dependable and cost effective international group benefit program is a necessity. Outside the United States, American employees find their traditional group benefit programs to be non-responsive, in benefits and service, to the unique situations facing them as they seek healthcare abroad. International employees and their families moving, traveling, or living abroad traditionally encountered entirely new cultural systems. Even for those who have acclimated, the societal differences are magnified when the need arises for medical care. The employees distant location separates them from access to U.S. health care providers. Time zone differences limit the availability of most plan administrators - especially in the event of an emergency. Language and cultural traditions may also hinder communication between the medical provider and the employee or plan administrator. Most significantly, the levels of medical provider training and public health care services in many countries lag far behind minimum U.S. standards. Providing appropriate benefit plan plans for these complex situations is a formidable challenge faced by all multinational corporations and international organization. Benefit managers must furnish a program that, in essence, surpasses the domestic benefit plan. In addition to full coverage for treatment while in the U.S., the international program must provide employees worldwide access to quality care, global portability, professional international benefit administration and special assistance coverage during medical emergencies. Organizations confronting these difficult issues have had few options for international benefits...until now.
A MULTINATIONAL GROUP BENEFIT PLAN?
Pre-existing conditions are covered after 12 months of continuous coverage under the A+MultiNational Series. If the A+MultiNational Series is replacing another group insurance plan, time insured under the prior plan will reduce the 12 month wait for coverage of Pre-existing Conditions. If you select this Option, each employee will receive a Prescription Drug Card recognized by 98% of the pharmacy outlets in the US. There is a co-pay of $7 per prescription for Generic drugs, and $15 per prescription for Brand drugs, charged when the medication is acquired. For employees age 35 and older, the A+MultiNational Series provides up to $150 for an annual routine physical exam, after 24 months of continuous coverage. If the A+MultiNational Series is replacing another group insurance plan that also featured a Wellness benefit, time insured under the prior plan will reduce the 24 month wait for the Wellness Benefit.
Emergency Medical Evacuation to the nearest medical facility qualified to treat the life threatening condition is covered. .
