International Group Employee Benefit Plan
Underwritten by SIRIUS International Insurance Corp.

Long Term Comprehensive Group Medical, Life, Dental and Indemnity Plan for
U.S. Multinational Corporations and International Associations that Require
Coverage Outside the United States.

globe3.gif (1126 bytes) Plan Overview
International employees and their families moving, traveling or living abroad traditionally encounter entirely new cultural systems. Even for those who have acclimated, the societal differences are magnified when the need arises for medical care.

The employees' distant location separates them from access to U.S. health care providers. Time zone differences limit the availability of most plan administrators - especially in the event of an emergency. Language and cultural traditions may also hinder communication between the medical provider and the employee or plan administrator. Most significantly, the levels of medical provider training and public health care services in many countries lag far behind minimum U.S. standards.

Providing appropriate benefit plans for these complex situations is a formidable challenge faced by all multinational corporations and international organizations. Benefit managers must furnish a program that, in essence, surpasses the domestic benefit plan. In addition to full coverage for treatment while in the U.S., the international program must provide employees worldwide access to quality care, global portability, professional international benefit administration and special assistance coverage during medical emergencies.

Organizations confronting these difficult issues have had few options for international benefits ... until now.

GEO Plus InternationalSM is an international group employee benefit plan specifically designed to meet the expatriate requirements domestic programs fail to address:

  • Access to health care anywhere in the world (including the U.S.)

  • Complete portfolio of medical, life, dental and indemnity benefits

  • Specialized administration with international claim adjudication expertise

  • 24-hour / 7-day-a-week availability

  • International emergency assistance, including medical evacuation

  • Full portability between countries

  • Multi-lingual capability

  • Currency conversion experience

  • Domestic and international continuation as required by U.S. law.

GEO GroupSM allows employers to carve out the international component of their employee population and to provide U.S. style benefits. Employees with considerable international experience have found it prudent and cost-effective to separate these risks. Employers are able to quantify costs, limit liability and contain expenses relating to overseas operations, which are often separate profit centers. Additionally, lower international medical costs are reflected in the international premium levels.

With the investment for expatriate employees growing, employers must offer competitive benefit coverage during an employee's service abroad and upon their return home.

GEO GroupSM offers domestic style benefits, complete portability, seamless coverage, worldwide access to medical care, expert international claims management and cost-effective 24-hour peace of mind for both employers and employees.

globe3.gif (1126 bytes) Administration & Coverage

Worldwide Coverage
GEO Group provides coverage for U.S. or Canadian citizens while residing abroad, and while in the U.S. or Canada temporarily (less than 12 months), as well as for overseas local and third country national employees.

arrow.gif (61 bytes) Provider Choice
You may use the doctor or hospital of your choice at home or abroad. If you select a doctor or hospital from the Geo Group Preferred Provider Organization, your deductible and coinsurance will be waived. If you select an alternative doctor or hospital, normal benefits apply with no penalty.

arrow.gif (61 bytes) Deductible and Coinsurance
You may choose between five deductible plans: $250, $500, $1,000 and $2,500. After the deductible is satisfied the Company will pay 80% of the next $5,000 of eligible medical expenses, then 100% of eligible medical expenses to $1,000,000 (internal policy limits may apply). The deductible and coinsurance is waived if treatment is rendered by an Geo Group Preferred Provider. After three members of a family have satisfied their deductible during a Calendar Year, the deductible is waived for further family members. After the deductible and coinsurance has been met by three members of the same family, further claims from the family will not be subject to the deductible and coinsurance during the Calendar Year.
